Sharon Marie (Larsen) Timgren, age 78 of Westbrook, passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at Sunset Cottage Hospice in Worthington after an extended battle with cancer. Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, November 14 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Westbrook. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday at the Westbrook Funeral Home and one hour before the service at the church on Monday.  Interment will be at the Westbrook Cemetery in Westbrook. 

Sharon M. Timgren was born September 21, 1944 to Carl and Eva (Wickwire) Larsen in Redwood Falls, Minnesota. She attended Redwood Falls High School and graduated in 1962. She worked at Montgomery Ward in Redwood Falls before her marriage to Dennis “Tim” Timgren on December 3, 1966 in Vesta. They moved to Westbrook in 1967 where Sharon stayed home to raise their boys. She later worked at Wester’s Locker, did home daycare and was employed by the VFW. Sharon was a member of the VFW Legion Auxiliary and taught confirmation and Sunday School at the Presbyterian Church. Sharon later became a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church. Some of Sharon’s hobbies included bowling, golfing, softball, and making ceramics. She loved travelling and spent several years going on national bowling trips. Sharon especially enjoyed spending time visiting with friends and family.

Sharon is survived by her sons: Todd of Stillwater, and Troy (Holly) of Sleepy Eye; siblings: Letha Becker and Molly Schefus both of Redwood Falls, and Alan Larsen of Albert Lea; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Tim; and siblings: Jerry, Ronnie and Linda Evans.
