Tami Meld, age 60 of Walnut Grove, passed away Saturday, September 19, 2026 at United Hospital in St. Paul, following a battle with Lewy Body Dementia. A time of visitation will be held 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Friday, October 2, 2026 at the Walnut Grove Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Walnut Grove Cemetery. Stephens Funeral Service – Walnut Grove Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Tami Meld was born June 10, 1966 in St. Paul, Minnesota, to Kenneth and Ethel (Flesner) Meld. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. Tami attended Walnut Grove High School where she played trumpet in the marching band and graduated with the class of 1984. Following high school, Tami worked several factory jobs and waitressed at several restaurants. She especially loved playing pool and played league in Lamberton. Tami was an animal lover, and she enjoyed reading, listening to music, and spending time with her family and friends.

Tami is survived by her sister Janet (John) Block of Walnut Grove; niece Gina Meld of Westbrook; nephew Brian (Christy) Meld of Ramsey; adopted niece Brandie Swenson of Storden; great nieces and nephews: Taylor, Devon, Ember, Peyton & Jovi; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, and her brother Roger Meld.
