Thomas V. Noram, age 66 of Walnut Grove, passed away Monday, May 10, 2021 at Sanford Sioux Falls Medical Center.  Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 14, 2021 at Walnut Grove Funeral Home.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Interment will be in the Walnut Grove Cemetery.  Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions, guests will be required to wear a mask and practice social distancing guidelines. Stephens Funeral Service – Walnut Grove Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Thomas V. Noram was born August 19, 1954 in Jackson, Minnesota, the son of Thomas and Donna (Heser) Noram.  He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith.  Tom graduated from Walnut Grove High School in 1973.  After graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Marines.  Following his honorable discharge he returned to the Walnut Grove Area.  Tom worked construction and for many farmers in the area as a farmhand.  He married the love of his life for over 20 years, Wendy Ness, on April 1, 2011 in Walnut Grove.  Tom was the guy that would drop everything to help others.  He was often on his deck and you could always count on a shout and wave as you passed by.  Tom was a member of the VFW and the vice commander of the Walnut Grove Legion, where he spent most of his time.  He enjoyed the game of pool and played on a pool league for over 30 years.  Tom loved to dance, laugh and spending time with his family.

Thomas is survived by his wife Wendy; children: Lisa (Josh) Scharlemann, Erin (Mark) Anderson, Wendy (Coby) Mahon, Joseph (Amber) Ward, Tabbitha (Adam) Rikke and Teryan Maeyaert; 17 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; siblings: Kenny (Pam) Noram, Peggy (Kenneth) Bestge and Ron (Eileen) Noram; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jim.
