Timothy Patrick Bednarchuk, Pejuta Skuya “Sweet Medicine”, age 32 of the Lower Sioux Community, passed away unexpectedly on March 1, 2024 at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis. A time of visitation will be held 4:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at the Cansayapi Lower Sioux Community Center with a meal to be served at 6:00 p.m. Burial will be in St. Cornelia’s Cemetery on the Lower Sioux at a later date. Stephens Funeral Service – Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. 

Timothy Patrick Bednarchuk, Pejuta Skuya “Sweet Medicine” was born July 9, 1991 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Bruce Bednarchuk and Marie O’Keefe. He graduated from Redwood Valley High School, and later attended Minneapolis Community and Technical College. Tim loved cooking, and enjoyed eating a variety of foods. He had a gift of beading and crafting, photography, and enjoyed gardening. He also loved skateboarding, snowboarding, listening to music of all genres and going to thrift stores with Granny. Visiting and spending time with family and friends was always a highlight for Tim.

Tim is survived by his daughter, Olivia; her mother Sammy Pitkin; his parents: Marie O’Keefe and Bruce Bednarchuk; stepfather Steve Luzar; siblings: Alisa Bednarchuk (Thomas), Cullen Bednarchuk, and Elias O’Keefe; granny Angie O’Keefe; aunts: Anne O’Keefe Jackson (Franky), Beth O’Keefe (Chris), Eileen O’Keefe, Kateri O’Keefe (Perry); uncle Kevin O’Keefe (Andrea); cousins: Denton (Sandy), Vincent, Kaila, Aryhias, Sage, Kevin F, Bubba, Cecelia, Ella; niece Iris; nephew Winfred; and many other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Kevin O’Keefe, cousin Sheamus O’Keefe, and paternal grandparents Walter and Eleanor Bednarchuk.
