Timothy “Tim” Joe Kirk, age 43, of Wood Lake passed away Monday, November 17, 2025 of an unexpected heart problem. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at Redwood Valley Funeral Home in Redwood Falls. Visitation will be 12:00-2:00 p.m. on Tuesday prior to the services at the funeral home. Stephens Funeral Service – Westbrook Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Tim Kirk was born September 8, 1982 in Oklahoma City, OK to Harley Blake and Susan Kirk. He was baptized at the Baptist Church in Oklahoma City and later confirmed at First English Lutheran Church in Sacred Heart. Tim attended school in Sacred Heart-Renville and later in Granite Falls. He worked as a tow truck operator and drove semi and school bus. Tim was a compassionate man who liked to help people, evidenced by his dedication as a first responder and a firefighter. He was a member of the Salem Lutheran Church in Osakis and served as a trustee there for 5 years. In his spare time, Tim enjoyed participating in garden tractor pulls, hunting and fishing. He was handy and put his skills into woodworking. Tim loved his friends and watching his boys’ sporting events, but most of all, he loved being around family. Tim will be remembered as a great, loving father and loyal friend.

Tim is survived by his sons: Ashton and Ian; mom Susan Melsness; siblings: Whitney Blake-Nagorski and Doug Blake. He is preceded in death by his dad Harley, step-dad Lonnie, grandpas Francis and Gene, grandma Donna and sister Darla.
