Timothy Travis Otto age 48 of rural Westbrook passed away unexpectedly Friday, May 10, 2024 at his home.  Memorial Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Walnut Grove.  Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 14 at the Walnut Grove Funeral Home with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m.  Visitation will then continue one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.  Interment is in Johnsonville Cemetery.  Stephens Funeral Service – Walnut Grove Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Tim was born May 7, 1976 in Redwood Falls, MN to Bill & Twyla (Hanson) Otto.  He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith.  Tim graduated from Westbrook- Walnut Grove High School and attended Worthington Community College.  He then began working construction with his uncle Bud Hanson.  Tim then started his own construction business in the late 1990’s.  He built numerous pole barns across southwest Minnesota, and into South Dakota and Iowa.  He was known for his work ethic and always took in employees that were down on their luck.  Tim enjoyed traveling and loved watching his son play sports.

Tim is survived by his son Carter Otto of St. Paul, parents Bill & Twyla Otto of Walnut Grove, brother Troy (Jen) Otto of Walnut Grove, nephew Sawyer and niece Skylar, his friend Charity Jacobs of Minneapolis, and many other relatives and friends.  He is preceded in death by his grandparents: Alice & Clarence Hanson and William & Mildred Otto and numerous aunts and uncles.
