Timothy “Tim” Edmond Smith, age 58 of Cottonwood, formerly of Tracy, passed away Monday, January 27, 2025 after a day with family. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 7, 2025 at Tracy United Methodist Church. Visitation will be 9:30 – 11:00 prior to services at the church on Friday. A private burial will be in the Tracy City Cemetery. Stephens Funeral Service – Tracy Area Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Timothy “Tim” Edmond Smith was born September 22, 1966 to Franklin and Dianne (Greenfield) Smith in Tracy, Minnesota. He was baptized and confirmed at Tracy United Methodist Church. Tim attended Tracy High School, graduating in 1985. He served in the National Guard from 1984-1990. He participated in bowling leagues in Marshall and Tracy. He enjoyed playing golf with his dad and was a Vikings fan. You could often find Tim doing jigsaw puzzles or reading fantasy and Sci-fi novels. He loved sharing Godzilla movies with his son. Tim also loved family gatherings. He was always the first one there to set up bocce ball, corn hole and volleyball and was usually the first person to participate. Family meant the world to Tim.

Tim is survived by his parents Franklin & Dianne; son Joshua (Chloe) Davis Smith; brothers Troy and Terry Smith; two nieces; three nephews; one great-nephew; many cousins; many aunts & uncles and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Norman & Catherine Greenfield and Florence & Edmond Smith, aunts Harriet Timmerman & Pat Radke, and cousins Roger & Ricky Timmerman.
