William “Bill” Warren Willcox, age 86, of Redwood Falls, Minnesota, passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. After a long battle with health challenges, Bill left this world much as he lived his life – on his own terms. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 23, 2026 at Redwood Valley Funeral Home in Redwood Falls. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Redwood Falls Cemetery. Stephens Funeral Service – Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. While his passing brings sadness, his family finds comfort and peace in knowing that he did things his way.
Bill was born on December 3, 1939, in Redwood Falls, Minnesota, to Harry and Ann (Macheledt) Willcox. He attended Redwood Falls Public Schools and graduated from Redwood Falls High School in 1957.
Following high school, Bill enlisted in the United States Army, serving at Fort Lewis in Washington State. After receiving his honorable discharge in 1963, he returned to his hometown of Redwood Falls.
On August 13, 1966, Bill married the love of his life, Ramona Seime. Together, they made their home in Redwood Falls, where they raised their four children and built a lifetime of memories. As much as Bill loved his family, becoming a grandpa brought him a whole new level of joy. His nine grandchildren and one great-granddaughter held a special place in his heart. He took great pride in attending their activities and events, always enjoying the opportunity to be part of their lives.
Bill began his career in television repair, working for Owens TV and Appliance for several years before finishing that chapter of his career with Randy’s TV. He was well known throughout the area for his knowledge, skill, and ability to fix just about anything television-related. He wasn’t afraid of heights, often climbing tall TV towers to install, repair, or take them down. His dedication to his craft and willingness to tackle even the toughest jobs earned him the respect of many throughout the community.
In 1991, Bill decided it was time for a change and began a new career with the United States Postal Service, where he worked until his retirement in 2012. But retirement didn’t mean sitting still. He later worked part-time for Olson’s Chevrolet, transporting and picking up vehicles – a job he truly enjoyed.
Bill enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. Whether it was playing cards, having coffee with the guys, or sharing a couple of evening drinks and conversation with friends at the VFW, he appreciated good company and a good time. He was known for his quick wit, teasing remarks, and the mischievous smile that usually accompanied them. Giving someone a hard time was often Bill’s way of showing he liked them. If you knew Bill – you know.
Bill was a man who lived life on his own terms. He worked hard, took pride in what he did, and wasn’t afraid to speak his mind or do things his own way. That determination stayed with him throughout his many health struggles. Through it all, Bill knew God and found comfort and reassurance in his faith and in the promises of his Savior. His family will remember his strength, independence, sense of humor, and the countless memories made along the way.
Bill is survived by his children: Tamara (Scott) Evink of Redwood Falls, MN, Warren (Julie) Willcox of Glencoe, MN, and Tracy (friend Jay) Prokosch of Willmar, MN; grandchildren: Matthew and Noah Evink, Madeline, Allison, Clara, and Mason (Eryn) Willcox, and Nick (Liv), Owen, and Zach (Liz) Prokosch; and great-granddaughter, Harley Ramona Prokosch. He is also survived by his sisters: Delores Biren & Janet (Darrell) Carruth; sisters-in-law: Norma (Charles) Robinson, Valerie Seime, and Kari (Mike) Seime-Wylie; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ramona Willcox; son, Michael “Mikey” Willcox; son-in-law, Christapher Prokosch; siblings, Bob Willcox and Charlotte Weidemann, and his parents, Harry and Ann Willcox.
Though Bill will be deeply missed, his family finds peace in knowing he was surrounded by love in his final moments. They also find comfort in God’s promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ. Bill lived his life his way, and in the end, that’s exactly how he wanted it.
