Vickie Ourada age 61 of Walnut Grove passed away peacefully Sunday, April 25, 2010 at Immanuel St. Joseph Hospital in Mankato.

Visitation will be 4:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 29 at the Walnut Grove Funeral Home.  A private family memorial service will follow at 8:00 p.m.  The Walnut Grove Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Vickie Ourada was born September 6, 1948 in Lamberton, Minnesota to Raymond and Selma (Benson) Wells.  She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith.  Vickie attended school in Tracy, Minnesota and later received her license as a beautician.  On October 14, 1967 Vickie was united in marriage to Richard Ourada in Tracy, Minnesota.  Vickie worked as a beautician for several years and later ran a daycare out of her home.  She sold Avon products for a number of years and also cleaned house for elderly people in the area.  Vickie was proud to be a housewife for many years as well.  More recently, Vickie was a Tour Coordinator for bus tours.  She loved gardening and raising her flowers, crocheting, working with ceramics, baking, and cooking.  She also enjoyed camping and Bullhead fishing.  Vickie’s family was very important to her, and she always put others before herself.

Vickie is survived by her husband Richard of Walnut Grove; sons Rick (Connie) Ourada of Walnut Grove, John (Teresa) Ourada of Walnut Grove, Jason (Lisa) Ourada of Wabasso; grandchildren: Jessica, Derick, Joshua, Jillian, Cora, Evelyn, David, and one on the way; brother Dermont (Bonnie) Wells of Spicer, sister Janice (Andy) DeBlieck of Fresno, CA; brother-in-law Steve (Bette) Ourada of Walnut Grove; and many other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Jim and Roger Wells, and sister Joyce Monahan.
