Kathleen Marie (Hagert) Senger was born November 29, 1925 in rural Vail Township, Minnesota to John and Rose (Fernholz) Hagert. Growing up she attended St. Anne’s Catholic School, and later graduated from Wabasso High School in June of 1944 with 33 other students. After high school Kathleen traveled to Washington State with two friends and worked several jobs in Tacoma and Vancouver, Washington while World War II was ongoing. She later returned to Minnesota and met the love of her life Albert Alois Senger of Clements. Kathleen and Al were united in marriage on August 4, 1945 at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Wabasso, and spent the next 56 years together serving in the military, moving throughout the states, and raising a family. Kathleen spent many hours doing the things she loved like canning foods, sewing, crocheting and baking. She had many talents and most of all was the family historian. Kathleen could remember every marriage, death, birth or baptism for everyone regardless of how distant a cousin it happened to be. She loved to visit and host gatherings.
Kathleen is survived by her four children: Carolyn Bramstedt of Ellensburg, WA, Marcelyn Senger of Rainier, WA, Michael Senger of Clarion, IA, and Gerald Senger of Redwood Falls; grandchildren Scott Bramstedt, Lisa Gamache, Daniel Bramstedt, Jason Senger, Gregory Senger, Cody Senger, and Erin Senger; great grandchildren Julia and Katelyn Bramstedt, Jonathan Bramstedt, Alexandra and Katherine Gamache, and Cady and Alaina Senger; four brothers and one sister; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Kathleen is preceded in death by her parents, brother Louis Hagert, sister Gladys Morley, and her husband Albert.
