Bonnie Knutson age 88 of Westbrook passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at the Westbrook Good Samaritan Care Center.  Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday July 9 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Westbrook.  Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday at the Westbrook Funeral Home with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service.  Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at church on Monday.  Interment is in Old Westbrook Lutheran Cemetery.  Stephens Funeral Service – Westbrook Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. 

 Bonnie R. (Bolske) Knutson was born April 28, 1924 in Comfrey, Minnesota to John and Josephine (Boyers) Bolske.  She graduated from Westbrook High School, and went on to receive her licensure as a Registered Nurse.  Bonnie married Marvin Knutson on March 15, 1947.  Together the couple resided in Westbrook and raised five daughters.  Bonnie and Marvin enjoyed travelling, and went ballroom dancing every weekend up until their later years.  Bonnie was always very involved with her grandchildren, who gave her a lot of joy.  She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church where she was active in the CCW and church council.  Bonnie volunteered for RSVP and the American Cancer Society, and was a member of the Westbrook Hospital Auxiliary and Heritage House Museum.  She loved collecting antiques, was an avid cook, and enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening.

Bonnie is survived by her daughters: Teresa Knutson of Kalispell, MT, Joan Knutson (Paul Johnson) of Whitefish, MT, Martha (Bruce) Jensen of Westbrook, Ruth (George) Donaldson of San Diego, CA, and Annette Knutson of St. Paul; grandchildren: Jesse (Amanda) Jensen, Nicole (Kelly) Brown, Frankie Jensen, George Donaldson, and Abigail Donaldson; great-grandchildren: Casey Brown, Cadey Brown, and Zoey Jensen.  She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Marvin, and brother Jim Bolske.
