Lorraine Joyce Wigen was born June 29, 1944 in Tracy, Minnesota to Harry and Jennie (Visker) Haney. She graduated from Tracy High School. In July of 1962, Lorraine met the love of her life, Orwill Wigen, while they were both employed by Marshall Produce.  They were sent on a blind date by Lorraine’s sister, Harriet Reese.  Orwill and Lorraine later married on September 29, 1962 and they were married for 56 years.  To this union five daughters were born, Wendy, Caroline, Michelle, Kelly, and Mary Jo, who passed away due to a car accident on July 4, 1996. Lorraine worked at Schwan’s in Marshall for over 20 years. Her membership in the Tracy Legion Auxiliary was very important to her, and she served as president for several years. Lorraine could often be found watching Westerns, suspenseful movies, or NCIS. She loved spending time with all of her family, and she was always concerned with their wellbeing. Lorraine loved doing crafts, sewing, and she had a wonderful companion in her dog, Schnapps.

Lorraine is survived by her daughters: Wendy (Ron) Coyle of Tracy, Caroline (Floyd) Lacek of Watertown, SD, Michelle (Dan) Kerkaert of Russell, Kelly (Darren) Jacob of Tracy; 11 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and one on the way; sister Harriet Reese of Tracy; brother-in-law Vernon Sanow of Tracy; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Orwill, daughter Mary Jo, siblings: Jeanette Rykhus, Kate Sanow, and Allen Haney, and brother-in-law George Reese.
