Roger Eugene Kiihn was born on February 25, 1936 to Gustave and Selma (Helgeland) Kiihn in Frost, MN. He attended Bricelyn High School and later Ellendale College in Ellendale, ND. Roger was married to Eunice Merkel in 1958 and they relocated to Westbrook where he taught Industrial Arts, along with raising his children on the farm outside of Dovray. Roger also enjoyed coaching sports in Westbrook and Chandler-Lake Wilson school districts. Roger’s hobbies included restoring cars and farm machinery. After he retired, he moved to Tracy where he loved hosting children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Roger found solace in his faith and was an active member of Tracy Lutheran Church.
