Shirley Ann Heinrich, age 78 of Walnut Grove, passed away Monday, March 1, 2021 at St. John’s Circle of Care Lutheran Home in Springfield.  Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 4, 2021 at the Walnut Grove Funeral Home. There will be a public visitation starting at 12:00 p.m. prior to the service that day. Interment will be in the Gales Township Cemetery.  Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions, guests will be required to wear a mask and practice social distancing guidelines. A 50% indoor occupancy restriction will be maintained. Stephens Funeral Service – Walnut Grove Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Shirley Ann Heinrich was born July 9, 1942 to Elmer and Emma (Kronback) Flesner in Tracy, Minnesota.  She graduated from Walnut Grove High School.  On June 30, 1962, Shirley married William “Bill” Heinrich at Christian Missionary Alliance Church in Tracy.  Shirley spent a majority of her career working for Tracy Senior dining serving seniors within the community.  Shirley loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Shirley was a big fan of the Minnesota Vikings and entertaining for her family on Sunday afternoons.  She enjoyed hosting friends for Saturday morning coffee.  One of her favorite pastimes was chatting with her good friend, Nan Gregorie.

Shirley is survived by her sons: Todd Heinrich of Walnut Grove and Rick (Angel) Heinrich of Inver Grove Heights; grandchildren: Jennifer Heinrich, Jordan (Erin) Heinrich, and Jennae Hosfield; great grandchildren: Keaton & Max; god children: Stacey and Tina; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Bill, siblings Wes, Maggie, Tom, and Carol.
